Hi my name is Aimee Bateman and I’m the founder of Careercake. In this course we are going to tackle the age old issue of time management. This is not going to be one of those courses where I stand here and say we all have the same amount of time in the day, or, regurgitate that quote that is going around on Instagram at the moment, “we all have the same amount of hours in the day as Beyoncé”…and as fabulous as Beyoncé is, that doesn’t help me does it and it doesn’t help you. Yes we all have the same amount of hours in the day, but what hours are available to us, that is determined by our own individual situation.
So, in this course we are going to ensure that when you go to bed at night, no matter what your situation is, you feel like you owned the day. We don’t want you going to bed feeling like you are a complete failure because you had a million things to do and you haven’t done any of them. It’s a horrible feeling. I’ve been there and done it and it’s not sustainable. I want you to feel like yes, you owned it and you’ve got some time and energy left to do all the wonderful things that you’ve got going on in your life.
So, we are going to look at what time management is. Why it’s important. And I’m going to give you some practical things that you can take away into your own situation to improve your own time management skills.
And again, in perfect time management style we are going to do this is in a short amount of time. No long winded explanations. This is going to be short, sharp, snappy and to the point. So, let’s go.
